They’re trying to strip us of our right to vote.
At this moment voting rights are under assault across our country, most notably in Georgia and North Dakota.
But in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado we can vote at home, since the entire state has vote by mail. It sounds crazy but here are some of the advantages.
1-You can take your time. It’s like an open-book, take-home-final. From the time your ballot arrives in the mail (this week in OR) till election day, you have the leisure to study your voter’s pamphlet and fill in your ballot over a number of days.
2-You don’t have to leave home. For those of us in states with vote by mail, we’re early adopters. We love to Netflix and chill (vote). We don’t have to worry about inclement weather or finding someone to bum a ride. Believe me, I rarely see my friends once it starts to rain, so I know that if we don’t have to leave the house unless necessary, we’re in!
3-Your time is your own. You don’t have to be late for work — or better yet miss work. You can fit it in on a weekend or a day off. It’s all about when it works for you.
4-There’s no dress code. Seriously you don’t have to be presentable for anyone but yourself. No need for pants. No need for clothes. You can even vote…
